You're welcome. Obviously AY fly from DUB now as well. I'm also thinking that fares from the ME3 seemed sticky to start with in the face of falling oil prices. Yes they've softened, but my gut feeling is they will stay that way for a while to fuel the lull until we are back to $70-$80 in H2 2017.

Sorry for late reply but 9 hrs ahead of UK here. Booked last week by going direct to QR website. Limited dates as you found.Even one day either side of a good fare increases pricing to industry standard . Return to OSL next week from Mel with QR and must say they are bloody good - no complaints whatsoever. Finnair next up in Jul - more exe at about GBP 2200 but no positioning one end as direct from PRG. But could only get as far as SYD as no sale price to MEL. So it will be SYD-MEL. with Avios and QF.

Even though it's a very nice business product please note that QR flies the A320 between HEL and DOH. You might have options to fly the A330 from DOH to AUH but that's a 1 hour flight.

Is it a lie flat product on the A320?

Yes, was just looking at them but once I realised it is an A320 from HEL-DOH I rapidly lost interest!

The A320 C seat does not look to bad actually.

It's the same plane they use from BUD. I've flown it and it's perfectly acceptable. Weird seeing full size business seats on a narrow body aircraft, but service works well.

And of course all it has to compete with to DXB is the AY A320.

Still, 440 TP for the return plus 160 for the positioning flight works out at about £2/TP all in.

Those with bookings on QR, to AKL, departing before 06.02.16, should contact their nearest QR Service Centre to take advantage of the particularly excellent re-booking options.

Some QR 320s have lie flat seats, some do not. I think they tend to use the lie flats between Europe and DOH, but it is not guaranteed. The recliners vary too. Some are newer and have TVs, the older ones do not and they hand out ipads with a limited selection of films loaded on.
