Upgrade CW to First on 241 ?

I have a redemption fight LHR-ATL on a 777-200 4 in CW booked with a 241.

My flight now has availability in First, so in theory I believe I could cancel and rebook at a change fee cost + 45,000 Avios.

Is this worth considering ?

Call up BA and ask to upgrade to F. The difference in Avios will be deducted.

And in case it's not already clear, that does not involve a cancellation - it's just a change to the booking.
