Flythe96flag should land any minute now. We will soon hear if he is in the CCR or outside T5 on his arse...

CCR is for passengers flying F on BA metal.

I ask because that situation holds with Lufthansa (and joint-venture partner UA) and Frankfurt's first-class terminal and lounges.

However, try to get into SWISS's first-class lounge before an LX flight on a UA ticket and you will be unceremoniously booted down the stairs.

It's a confusing world
I'm assuming yes, as it's a BA operated flight.

Apparently yes, but Keep schtum about the price you paid for the ticket, otherwise it's just bread and water on the menu.

So is there anyone left with a BA stock ticket that hasn't been cancelled yet?

Yes. Wouldn't have expected anything different after how they reacted yesterday. A sound commercial move in my opinion too.

Yes, it is OT. Plenty of complaints on the LH board about LH group airlines selective implementation of Star Alliance policies.

Airside now, conformance check was a breeze. Let's see how boarding goes.

I find it hard to believe BA would go as far/stoop so low and start faffing about with customers AA issued (and confirmed honoured) tickets while in journey. That to me appears to be borderline extortion and with intent to penalize the customer. They would also be setting themselves up for a legal battle which could turn ugly.

As expected, well done. Please go to the CCR and drink a nice cool LPGS for each of us following you, eager to see you safely to Mexico and back as booked.

No, you're missing the point. Nothing at all to do with implementation of alliance-based rules or policies.

An airline's specific ultra-premium lounge access can be excluded from the use of alliance partners, as long as the basic alliance-based access rule are followed.

BA, LH, LX, QR et al can implement the policies they wish, in his respect. It's just that the logic behind not discriminating between passengers travelling in your first-class cabin seems sensible - and it's one adopted by all except SWISS.

No doubt our intrepid Flythe96flag is taking advantage of that enlightened policy right now

But does the CCR serve Tequila ?

Do you intend on specking to CS? Or just proceeding to the gate as booked?

Just out of sheer curiosity... If you booked this itinerary on ba.com with Avios, how much would the taxes and surcharges be ?

Welcome to FT ! I am sure you would have prefered it had been with more positive news... Did you book on ba.com or aa.com ?
