This thread concerns a period on 6 August 2015 when for at least 6 hours, starting a 07:30 GMT, BA, AA and AY offered Business class flights from 3 Norwegian airports - Oslo, Stavanger and Bergen - to the USA. By cheap we mean below £400 for OSL-LHR-USA in business class return, plus additional flights in First thereafter. Bragging rights go to crazy8534, original post here. Around lunchtime these fares were pulled, but by that time a number of FTers had leapt in and got themselves booked and ticketed. Some also upgraded existing bookings or UuA'd to First.

BA have now confirmed directly to many FTers via email that their bookings will be honoured (Screenshot of email courtesy AAtticus). We await confirmation from those booked on AA.com and those with multiple bookings.

Back to back information for OSL, BGO and SVG is to be found here, and also there is a photo guide here for OSL kindly posted by wjh5879.

Specifics on the fare basis and rules here.

Guide to OSL hotels here (kindly provided by krist1an)
Guide to eating out in Oslo here and also here without needing a wheelbarrow of money (also kindly provided by krist1an). Two microbreweries are identified here by Berksflyer.

as a reference point, i've just paid for the aa.com booking I had on hold and they have taken the money (according to apple pay) and reservation went from 'on hold' to 'requested' to 'ticketed' within 5 mins.

that's 3 for me. hurray.

can I UUA AA flight numbers?

Any B2B'ers would need to smile and push in at the front to stand a chance of making it back to the gate in time. I'd recommend perusing the long-haul schedule of Norwegian ex OSL before committing to a B2B here.

There were a few queue jumpers when I was there and eventually one of the security guys was posted in the corridor to hurry along those with tight connections.

So currently my 4 flights are still intact.

Two booked on ba.com, one aa.com but on BA metal and one via lastminute.com.
The OTA one was when the price was no longer available on ba.com and aa.com but it still ticketed in around 20 minutes.

Even it they get cancelled it was a enjoyable day and I also loved the activity here on FT.

Have a great night everyone and hopefully we won't wake up to cancellation emails on our phones. That would ruin my Friday for about an hour.

My Spanish is better than my German, but I'll give it a go...

Based on a tarrif error, airline tickets were offered for a short period on 06/08/15 at incorrect prices for journeys from Oslo to your chosen destination.

Since the revised tariff was based on an error, we will not honour the incorrectly priced ticket offer.

As the tariff was clearly recognisable as an error, and does not constitute a fare, the airline will not transport you with this ticket.

We are therefore obliged to cancel your booking free of charge and fully reimburse you.

We regret this inconvenience and thank you for your understanding

(That reminds me of the time my wife ended up sitting beside a man from air traffic control on a domestic to LHR, the poor fellow must have thought he was being subjected to an extraordinary rendition such was the level of interrogation; why are we so high? why is that plane so high? why are we holding? why are we so low? why is that plane so low? when will we land? how often do they land? why haven't we landed yet?....you get the picture...)
I think I remember her.

Well BA sold CW to Seoul for £777 and in those Days, November 2012, GBP1 was around 9 NOK ≈ NOK 7,000.

So tickets just below NOK 5,000 isn't an incredible low price, and could be interpreted as a strike against
Norwegian Airlines rather than an error

The 3000NOK economy fare might well have been.

But DY doesn't fly to all these US cities, nor dies it have a proper/comparable business class.

I also said I'd like to win the lottery, work less and spend more time leading the jet set lifestyle that I think suits me best.

then the butler woke me up and said it was time to head to work......

a base fare of GBP 89 in CW for a TATL price cannot be a seen as something intended.

"isn't an incredible low price" - it doesn't really get any lower than that given the rest is fees...... ?

don't get me wrong, I am happy and yesterday was fun but I am just saying that it was pretty obvious that this wasn't right (not least because aa.com displayed Y tickets costing (just) more than the J ones).

I got in on this action, I am already doing a TATL trip in November after a very good F fare for LIN - IAD via LHR then JFK - CDG via LHR (£1800...), so Mrs O and I are heading to New York in April next year. Will be good to see how this pans out next month and if the first ticketed FTers end up going

Interestingly this morning the low fare finder on is showing SVG - NYC for 4407NOK (£344) but when you click through to book it bumps the fare back up to normal price. It's doing the same for OSL - NYC. Odd given yesterday's events and getting the hopes up of those who missed it!

Details, just details, just as Ryanair call Vatry a Paris Airport
