Where would you live in Europe on a BA route?
I thought this would be an interesting discussion...
I'm fortunate to work from home and only require good internet connection for work. I have London based clients and other UK responsibilities which means I'd like to be back in the UK for several days per month so I'm limiting this to the EU.
I currently live in Spain near Malaga and have been spoiled by the regular BA flights and often good prices back to Gatwick. I'd like to remain with BA if possible hence why this question is in this discussion. Where would you like to live in the EU if you had no dependants?
Some personal criteria though:
- Must be a BA route with regular direct and inexpensive flights
- Must not be an expensive city to live in (i.e. not Paris or anywhere in Switzerland)
- Must have nice architecture and character
Climate is not important, I'm ready for a change from the sun if needs be.
I'm currently considering Florence and Prague but hoping to get some other suggestions :-)

I can highly recommend Switzerland for an outstanding way of life (better than anywhere I have lived before), albeit slightly more expensive cost of living.

Dublin - it's nice but not 'continental' enough
Amsterdam is a good shout, I like it there. Berlin is fun too.

AMS, CPH, BRU, NCE...
Beauty of all 4 is that QR have flights going East, so you'll be able to pick up TPs and good deals on another OneWorld airline other than BA.

After London- I would happily say that BRU meets most of your requirements and is a great city. I also like CPH and HAM. NCE for a bit of sun!

Budapest - my second home. Nice restaurants can be a fraction of the cost of London/Paris, accommodation/rents are absurdly cheap, but supermarket prices still on a par with the rest of Europe.
