BA Future Labs New boarding experiment...
According to a friend on BA Future Labs....
They sent an email out a couple of days ago asking people to advise whether they were travelling between now and July.
They then asked my friend to select the destinations he was heading to (all of the options available were longhaul, and included A380 routes).
The final page then advised that the reasoning for the questions, was that a new boarding experiment would be trialled over the next few months, and thus he would be invited to partake.
Anyone any the wiser or have thoughts as to what they may be looking at trialling?

Firing people into the cabin using a cannon?
Boarding by ticket price?
Using riot police to herd the uninitiated?
Using a rope instead of steps at remote stands?
Window seats board first?
Restriction on hand luggage size guaranteed aboard?
Getting US drill sergeants to bellow at dawdlers?
Only a few are serious suggestions.
If I were a betting man, I'd put some money on the hand baggage being enforced and an EasyJet policy of "only X size bags guaranteed to fit" being trialled...

msm2000uk may well have agreed to a confidentiality clause at the outset, but in line with current BA policy he has just chosen to now offer an enhanced level of confidentiality.

If you have any confidence they will come up with something to improve things, that is. With BA these days I suspect they're probably trialling a turnstile where you swipe your credit card so they can collect a few extra quid per person to help meet that all important profit target and trigger the management bonuses which is all they seem to care about

CX does manage boarding very well at HKIA. One of the challenges BA faces at T5B and T5C is the available space (or lack thereof) around the gates to manage multiple queues. At present, with two queues it is often impossible to tell if youre actually in the fast track line.
