lookjng at flightstats for BA1/2 SNN-JFK legs it shows 3 cancellations and 11 'excessive' delays out of last 94 departures. Thought from here it would have had more cancellations for some reason

Oh well, I spoke a bit too soon, checked bags all have to be reconciled due to the change in flight destination. Still in the tarmac 70 mins after STD.

And now computer is saying no - although the number of bags and customers is correct, the system is falling to cope with the change in original destination and causing issues. New ETD is 20:00. I'm assuming most of you aren't that interested anymore but I'm going to carry on posting until we take off. So there! ;-)

We're all interested in a good BA cluster. Thankfully I've dodged severe IRROPS so far, but I don't want to tempt fate. Godspeed.

And 178 from JFK this morning was cancelled, must be a jinx on the 170's today. Omba minor very glad of the silver partner card I gifted him, 7 hours in lounge so far, 7 to go.

This brings back memories of flying MaxJet to IAD. They had 2 old 757 out of STN, one to DC and one to NY. If anything went wrong with the aircraft, they were screwed.

I have long wondered how long BA could run 2 A318s seamlessly on that service.

We have a similar [nautical] problem with our new, larger, Condor Fast-Ferry from UK to JER [which replaced 2 slightly smaller ones] ... there is no backup when things go wrong. And, Boy, have they gone wrong since Condor Liberation entered service a fortnight ago >>> http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-euro...rnsey-32323935
