I call it short-termism. Yes, they're doing all the right things to increase profits, but a few years down the line their reputation will be completely lost. It all reminds me of Tesco, look where they are today.

I shall continue to earn TPs and Avios, and use them as effectively as possible with BA.

I am also increasingly likely to fly, via DUB, with US carriers for TATL needs. But I'm still basically stuck with BA for the X-channel hop, as I don't fancy EZY or any other LoCo.

Those with OWE emerald status are entitled to access a 1st class lounge, but doesn't mean that an airline should keep a lounge open when there are no flights with 1st class departing

Richard Branson continues to cry himself to sleep each night.

A few on the longhaul routes, but not enough to justify a CCR.

BA get their money because Uncle T is still flying oneworld across the Atlantic. So actually BA gets the same revenue as if he had flown on BA metal.

Exception: If Air Berlin offered a service to Jersey.

By the same logic, the Galleries First lounge at T5 should be closed as there's not a single passenger departing the terminal in First class that isn't eligible for a superior lounge.

Depends if you value the custom of your Emerald fliers more than the cost of keeping a room open to put them in.

Very good.

However the F lounge at LGW is not that bad. I quite like it.

The F Lounge at LGW is ok, but then I'd also rank the CCR as ok. Not great, but not awful.

I have moved all of my longhaul Eastward (no Clint jokes please) flights to QR - better product (Lounge included) and an hour in DOH isn't as bad as people may think. Heading Westward however, I will continue to use BA as there is no better option.

Me too. I sometimes found it busy but never crowded. Happy with the food and drink selection. Staff always friendly and much more proactive than Heathrow.
