They've given out a couple of luggage tags in the lounge. (Shame about the scratch since it was right out of the box)

I was on the flight today + have a few pictures I can post later. No real fanfare to speak of, but the ground staff was taking pictures of the plane when we rolled in. I enjoyed the flight but didn't notice any major differences between the A380 and the 777, other than the front bathroom being substantially bigger. I'm flying it again in July and might try the lower deck then.
Edit to add: the storage bins on the side on the upper deck are a huge plus, just as in the 747. The entertainment system was also better than any of BA's 777s that I've been on.

Flight is out from SFO at 20:22, with an additional delay of :51 over and above the ETD set by the late arrival of the aircraft.
In summary, it took them 2:56 to turn around the 388 instead of the allotted 2:05. But we don't know if anything was abnormal (mechanical, etc.) and therefore whether the delay was solely due to employees in SFO not being used to this aircraft type yet or something else.
Incidentally, there was no attempt by BA to be accurate and forthcoming during the delay, and the ETD was never updated or revised: as late as 20:20 the flight was still showing a 19:31 departure on both www.ba.com and www.flysfo.com, an impossible feat. It also showed estimated arrival at LHR at 13:07, also an impossible feat.
