Apologies for going slightly OT but what are the best blindfolds (apart from the freebie ones)?

Can't understand why so many FF seem to use the free ones.

.
Well said. ^

Some airline cabin crew - not mentioning which, but AF for one - can be rather rude when it comes to ordering every window seat person to drop them.
Personally speaking as long as the sun isn't streaming in I like them open as soon as I see daylight. The wife can be a pain though.

iWife lifts hers when she chooses, having due regard to what others nearby are doing - of course.

It's about 'situational awareness', and courtesy for others, not the 11th Commandment issued by Waterside/BA

During night flights CC often close the blinds when the cabin lights are switched off. This happens on most airlines, but you can generally peek out if you wish. If anything it is a lot more annoying to have someone with a bright reading light next to you, than an open window blind when trying to sleep...

On day flights I'm of the opinion that the person next to the blind operates it, with some concern for others.

1. Sorry, I can't sleep properly in CW, so I tend to read.
2. Blazing sunlight on day flights annoys everyone, I think.

I'm a really light sleeper, and I find blindfolds really annoying...so, I don't think that I've ever been able to sleep on a plane. I really should drink more!
