Venue
Tapster
3 Brewers Green
Buckingham Gate
SW1H 0RH

Kindly booked for us by LondonAndy.

It is a Davy’s winebar 5-10 minutes walk from Victoria station, close to St James’s Park station, (relatively) conveniently situated for all major London airports. It isn't the easiest place to find. It is at the junction of Caxton Street and Brewers Green, with a corner entrance to the wine bar downstairs (almost next door to the Blewcoat School which is a National Trust gift shop open until 17.30 if you arrive early!). If coming from Victoria Street turn down the road with "The Albert" on the corner.

There won't be any food provided as part of the Do, but Tapster do have a bar snacks menu which you can order from if you need some nibbles. See here for their Grazing Menu [PDF].

Short Asian guy in a leather jacket who needs a shave ... say hello to him and see what he says. IT-speak beneficial.

I am outside downloading a different parking app from the one that works everywhere else. Once done, will be there.

FTers - perhaps surprisingly (and like plain clothed ticket officers) - are easy to spot: they look just like you!

Are you still alone? Are people avoiding you? Have you overdosed on Brut?

great to see so many familiar faces tonight and meet so many new faces.

big thank you and well done to KARFA.

CWS, you were clearly missed though the BAEC FT Tradition was nearly kept alive (not copied because it can't be copied but adapted):

It wasn't actually very late in the evening when this happened:

And this is probably a "classic" FT DO bar order......

I hope everyone made it home safely!

Merry Christmas!

My colour partner in crime tonight!

Was great to see both familiar and new faces tonight, hope everyone had a good time. I left before any willy waving by KARFA but trust this will happen later on... Thanks to KARFA and Chris for organising

Merry Christmas everyone; and especially to KARFA for gifting me the two story suite at the Conrad because he decided to stay elsewhere instead so the upgrade went to me! Oops some willy waving, apologies

Home, slightly drunk, and pleased as punch to have met loads of you! In no particular understandable order (by anyone who might actually be sober when they read this):

bermondseyflyer, BAorbust, robertf999, karfa, dutch_122, tededude and grace, gadgetgirl, chris1979, matt the mate, pianoamit, visualad (George)'and Ginny, skba, physci, flying doctor, botB, matthandy, angelodades, random blogger guy, skye1, and, of course, the filthiest monkey of all and his two mates. Anyone I might have missed out, apologies. And everyone else I met beyond the point of stuporness, thanks to all for a most spectacular night!

Now it's time for about 10 vitamin B* tablets and I'll be ready for tomorrow...

Really enjoyed my evening and tried my darnedest to get an after party going at mine. No one was willing to come up my stairs so I'm enjoying a glass of Hors D'Age on my own. If anyone is still at the Windmill and reading this, let me know.

*your friendly nutritionist's recommendation for survival the morning after. A lot of sh*te said by 'colleagues' of mine is bollocks. However, testing has proved that Vit B and K cure hangovers before they happen if you are smart enough to take them between drinking and sleeping. They also help mitigate circumstances if you're not. Well, those plus a good amount of water...
