I'm afraid I won't be able to make it, as I fly out to Brazil early on the 8th, so I'm certain that work will roster me for double shifts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (which will leave me buggered for GLA-LHR-MIA-CNF-CGH in Y!)
I'm definitely going to attend a DO in 2015 though! Hope everyone has a great time at this DO.

Coming back from a TP run late Dec 6, it's not possible for me to participate. The agenda was more than catching, but forwarding the semi-TPAC and TATL flights would cost a fortune.
Cheers to all of you DO-ing a great spend of a week-end. A double cheers to Jamier45 for organizing.

I'll need to choose the right time to discuss with MrsLA .
However, I'm trying the 1,000 - 4,000 point deal with Accor, and see that the Ibis is £49.50 per night for that weekend - I've never been to Aberdeen, but it looks fairly central and does OK on tripadvisor. Maybe one for the budget conscious traveller

wee 'uns
Jamie
Just noticed this, and interested - I was born in Elgin while my dad was stationed at (as was) RNAS Lossiemouth ...
Would it be okay to bring kids (5 and 7, not too lunatic) along to the station visit? It's the only way that I have any chance of persuading Mrs Mac that this is sensible...
cheers

Stewie, that would be no problem, more the merrier. As the group grows I might have to split everyone down into smaller groups.
1) For access, I can only escort so many people at once.
2) To keep an eye on you pesky lot around my aircraft!

I confirm I will attend ! No hotel for me as I will be living in Aberdeen in December. Except if I have to be in SVG for some reasons on Friday, I will come straight from work.

Awful aircraft! I flew on a Loganair J41 years ago, seats were 1-2 arrangement with no armrests, minimal overhead storage and so NOISY! I hated it it, the Saab 340 is a much nicer aircraft if you can get on one.

I can't make that date either - sorry. I'm due offshore on the Friday morning.
However if I have a weather delay I could well pitch up for a pint Friday night
