Anyone find me a cheaper J ex EU seat to BKK

Appreciate not the best time of year to find a deal but looking to leave the weekend before Christmas, ideally the Sunday and come home on 3rd or 4th January.

From AMS I can find 850 euro each way. Only snag is on the return leg it's routed via hKG with the BKk to HKK leg in economy.

Any help, tips or hints on where to look would be appreciated.

If it doesn't have to be a OW airline there are loads of cheap options to BKK. Use ITA Matrix to check availability.

As an example I've seen TK ex-EU fares to BKK for approx 1000 Euros all in, return.

I am just reading about ITA matrix now.

I actually found a short notice flight for a friend on a Finn Air a fee weeks about but for these dates were over Ł2000 each and my mate didn't give the best reviews

A one world flight will get the whole family to silver so it's a must

Its a LOT of flying, and possibly even a 'dry' airline, but by far the cheapest for this time of year.

I just booked on Qatar business from Oslo for Ł1271 15th Dec to 8th Jan.

Just ran a search on ITA Matrix for you, Qatar showing Ł1208 from ARN, out 20th Dec, return 3rd Jan

Thanks. Figured it out now.

To be honest, BA is AMS is about the same as we need 3 adult tickets and one child and unless I have done something else wrong, Royal Jordanian don't discount kids tickets. Also the long layover and the fact that on the way back I can skip the last leg, I think I will grab the BA one now and suffer a couple of hours economy on Cathay on the way home.

Yes it is important. Also the QR flight is not cheap unless the return is left until after Jan 13th.

Gotta wait a few days to book the BA one from AMS due to Amex giving me a measly limit on my black card!

Fingers crossed it's still there

BCN - AMM on RJ on 21/12/2014 (Sunday)
AMM - CDG on RJ on 3/1/2015 (Saturday)

Ł1,027.80

The bad news is that legs between Jordan and Europe are on an A319 (outbound) and an A320 and while it's not Club Europe, it's not as good as the A330 product out of Heathrow. That, and a six hour layover in Amman on each trip.

The good news is that you have plenty of time to get positioning flights on the morning of your travel, and the 12.30 a.m. departure ex-BKK is great for jetlag as you'll sleep pretty much the entire flight.
