BA to Add Pulled Pork Sandwich to First-Class Menu

In September, BA's first-class menu will see the addition of a pulled pork sandwich. It's taken chefs 6 months to develop the recipe so it sounds like it could be promising.

It is far too early in the morning for me to be thinking about pulled pork sandwiches, but.... mmmmm pulled pork.

Chicken wings and a jug of beer to go along with it?

It might take them another six months to select the cheapest beer that goes with this disgusting offering for First. Another good idea for First : BYO food and drinks!

Are you kidding me?

That looks disgusting. The wrap from GF I could possibly understand as a snack item, but this looks like some rubbish that a kebab shop in the East End chucked out.

Nothing screams First Class like pulled pork...

Reminds me of the old joke about bulls pleasuring themselves in the field.

Six months for chefs (plural ) to "develop" a sandwich. Why didn't one of them just google it? Doesn't sound that promising to me.

This is a joke right? People in the Southeastern part of the US are crying right now at how bad that looks.

Any guesses when the Doner Kebab van will arrive at the CCR?

While I don't think BA should be limited to essentially British cuisine, the move towards American home style/comfort food seems a strange choice for premium passengers.

I love pulled pork. But it's not my idea of fine dining.

I love a pulled pork sandwich and cook huge chunks of pork often on my smoker in the back garden.

I often cook it when I have a crowd coming over as the meat is cheap and the effort required once set going 8-10 hours earlier is minimal.

So yes, take cheap meat, make cheap sandwich and then take 5 months, 29 days and 14-16 hours too long to design it.

First Class indeed....

O/T - I think it could be a good service offering in WT / WT+.

This is great news.

I loved the hot chicken sandwich which has now been replaced by the minute steak sandwich.

At times I am more than happy with a sandwich and crisps while having a drink watching a film.

I think this is a great addition to the normal full menu.

So drinking vodka in Russia really does warp your sense of reality

In first-class one shouldn't have to touch food with your fingers, unless it is asparagus. What you have here is pub food, and not quality pub food like your local boozer produced.
