Business Lounges at Heathrow for BA and others
I will be flying Business class from Prague to London Heathrow on British Airways arriving at 2:40 pm and leaving the next day at 11:50 am to Chicago. I want to use the BA arrivals lounge but it closes at 2:00 pm. Thus, the only way to use a lounge is to go to one of their departure lounges behind security in Terminal 3 or 5. Does anyone know if it is possible to pass through security with a boarding pass for the next day to just use a lounge? I would then be exiting the area to go to my hotel later in the evening before the lounge closes. I hear I can also use a OneWorld airline lounge operated by AA, Cathy Pacific and Qatar.
Any advice on this would be appreciated by others more familiar with Heathrow.
Rick

Arriving from Prague, you would not have been able to access the Arrivals Lounge anyway even if it was open. It's for long-haul arrivals.

You can't access the airside lounges unless you have a valid ticket for that terminal on that day.
You also wouldn't have access to the arrivals lounge if it were open as you are arriving on a shorthaul flight.

On your departure to ORD (assuming on BA in Club World), you'll have access to the three Galleries Club lounges in T5.
You can't access any terminal at LHR unless you have a valid same day boarding pass for departure from that terminal. Galleries Arrivals at T5 is only open to arriving First, Club World and Gold passengers in World Traveller Plus/World Traveller.
As a oneworld first/business class passenger, you can access any other oneworld first/business class lounge in the same terminal of your departure. This isn't applicable when departing from T5 at LHR, as there are no other oneworld lounges apart from BA's.

Being pedantic, but not quite true, once airside (in your correct terminal), you can go to any other terminal via the transfer busses. HAL like you have something like 3hrs before your flight to do this.

You can, but not from T1/3/4 to T5, and you aren't able to access the lounges in other terminals.

HAL offers an escorted service for shoppers to go to a different terminal but that requires you to commit to a large spend.
Only terminals that are linked are 1 & 2, but 2 isn't open yet.

Do take advantage of the 3 lounges in t3 at your disposal though!! I fly often in CE to PRG/BUD/VIE and love lounge hopping there! CX noodle bar is well worth a visit!

I'm a big fan of the CX wonton noodle soup, but calling a hole in the wall through which you get handed your food in 'Oliver Twist' style, a 'noodle bar' is a bit of a stretch!

The OP highlights something I have long wished for, a landside business centre. LHR is such a massive business and transport hub, that there are so many potential opportunities for people to meet there rather than venture into London.
Just today a business partner flew into LHR from SIN hoping for a day of meetings before flying on tonight. Our tube strike has made this much more difficult so I offered to come to the airport, but where to meet?
I'm not suggesting a lounge with drinks and food, just a simple business centre for BA arriving or departing pax, and Golds/Silvers.

Five minutes by taxi (allegedly).
Regus plans to open another business lounge actually at T5 but I think it will be airside.

I actually used that once. It's ok but not at all integrated into the operation, so it would actually have been easier to book a room at the Sofitel (which I've also done once before).
I just think that it would not be beyond the realms of do-able to set up a room on the same level as the Arrivals facility, put in a bunch of sofas/chairs, and computer stations, with a bookable meeting room(s). Keep it very business focussed to deter people hanging around.

Ok i will give you that one it is a serving hatch nothing more! BUT, I really like the food there. I like to have the dan dan noodles with the wonton inside (available on request). Usually washed down with a glass of sauvignon blanc or the rioja they normally have in there. Then back of to BA GC where the bar is better
