We got our first beep back to CW from an Invol downgrade to WTP last week. I let out a little yelp of joy!

Mrs MD and I got the 'magic beep' yesterday from 11 J & K in CW to 1E & F in F on BA203 to BOS. The red light flashed for several folk at the gate and the bus (gate A10) to the plane was full of smiling pax (in spite of having a tour of LHR on the bus).

Signed my mother up to BAEC and helped her book flight to PHL in WT+ month ago - she got back having been upgraded to J on BOTH LEGS!! Suspect this has more to her being a single traveller than a deliberate attempt to get a Blue to stick with BA?

Is PHL particularly UG lucrative or is she just very lucky?!

Lucky you especially as 64K is my preferred night time seat.

My last op-up was on an economy redemption from ET to CE for both me AND my travel companion on 2x redemption tickets! It was LHR->IST, so a decent route to get upgraded on too (for short haul).

I am currently sat in the lounge (EC Silver) at ORD on a W ticket to LHR. I was offered a $850 upgrade to CW at check in, which I declined. I wonder if there is any chance of hearing that magic beep tonight? Probably not.

I almost always travel as a single traveller, usually check in early unless transfers prevent this, often don't have any baggage and I've never heard the 'beep' once.

Annoyingly my parents and siblings recently flew with BA to Orlando and all five of them were upgraded! At the time I put it down to a flight full of parents with younger children in large groups whereas my siblings are 17+ so probably a better option for BA to upgrade five adults instead of a couple with young children. But when a friend and I also flew into Orlando in January we had no such luck even though very cheap upgrades were on offer when we dropped off our bags.

I have my fingers crossed for today's BA190. Booked in W and flight is showing full on flightstats! It has happened to me once before and it was such a nice shock, one upgrade and BA had me stuck for loyalty on them I'll tell you haha.

Taking my 21st BA flight tonight within 8 weeks - mixed s/h, m/h, l/h. Nothing. Zilch. Nada.
