British Airways Uncovers Fliers' Quirky Habits

New Ipsos MORI research commissioned by British Airways has revealed the range of emotions fliers go through when they travel and the quirks that make them feel comfortable.
Full details in the links above but I liked these bits;
Excitement is a big factor too. The pods that transfer Terminal 5 passengers from the car park to the airport bring out the child in the travellers that use them.
“It’s also about giving us an insight to help us develop the British Airways experience in the future and we’ve already got a number of ideas in the pipeline so watch this space….”
and there is a distinct theme of suspending normal life for fliers with many of them admitting to breaking their own norms and indulging in calorific food, drinking alcohol first thing in the morning
Does my bolding sound familiar to anyone?
The following list is in detail as per the sequences below:
Enjoyment
Conviviality
Belonging
Security
Control
Empowerment
Vitality
Do you have any 'quirky' habits?

As for security-LHR security has been at times even more incompetent than TSA (and that in itself is an achievement...) though most (>98%) are good.
Empowerment? I don't feel any more empowered despite being an elite when flying BA...

Yes, flying is a wonderful, uplifting experience indeed. Convivial, enjoyable - such positive superlatives!

I think this is referring to the T5 Parking Pods. (I don't think the tube brings the same sense of whimsy as these do.)

"At this stage most will arrange the space around them to their specifications."
What is this "space" that they're referring to, and furthermore how does one actually arrange it? It must be a feature in the WT cabin that I've missed so far.

I had cycled to LHR but was with someone who had a car in the Business car park so I might have used going to their car as an excuse purely to try the pods.... twice!!

There's no shame in walking hand in hand with your inner child. And erm, your inner glutton. Did someone say free food?
