Lots of general information about Jersey in post 1, and more details on the plan for the day

Plan for the day.
Date/TimeSaturday 26 July, 1200 - 1830 ... there's another booking just in from 1900, so those still on-site will have to continue downstairs, or elsewhere. Radisson?
  • The Bar, St Helier [on the Waterfront by Cineworld, and near the Radisson Bleu].
  • The Bar's website is here with their Menu etc.

Food and Drink
  • We will have the Upstairs Bar and Terrace
  • The kitchen will (by special request) be in operation for us from 1200-1800: so basically eat when you wish. I'm conscious that everyone's different arrival times and overall schedules makes a single sitting rather impractical.
  • PLEASE don't all try to order at the same time, or the kitchen will get swamped!!
  • Yes, they take Amex

Would arriving on Blu-rigny not be in keeping with the spirit of things?
It's an FT DO, not a BA one, and it's not your fault that Blu-rigny hasn't got a forum of its own

I've put you down as a possible. It would be interesting to hear what its like over there, especially with the difficulties of getting to major airports.

Happy new year all. Three things 1) I'll be there I think with possibly a plus one ! 2) I still need to donate 400 gbp to hols for heroes and perhaps claim and share the wine tasting 3) since the partner card rules have changed I might be able to donate one where it was pulled from auction due to job change and loss of flights.

This sounds like a lot of fun!

Which outbound flight do you think would be best? The 2772, or 2774? I guess the earlier one as it's an afternoon event?

All being well we'll be 2 GCHs by then for any Flounge guesting ^

Brave. I thought about getting this flight on Sunday but was not convinced I would make it!

There is a 0705 flight from JER on Sunday if anyone wants to avoid paying for a hotel and just set off for the airport after a long night out

Looking at last year's Jersey do, the 2772 was the most popular choice, but there were a fair few on the later 2774. There was an evening buffet as well.

The latter was organised by a former member of FT. It's not on my job-list at the moment, partly as I wouldn't stay up that late and also because it seemed to require a lot of administration.

Ok, thanks for clarifying.

I guess it would depend on how many want to stay on out in to the evening - I know I will. I guess we can sort something out closer to the time and might either see if we would want something to eat at the Radisson or elsewhere in St Helier.

No immediate rush, as you say. Once the pattern emerges it will be easier. Day trippers, long-weekenders, early Sunday flyers ... locals, old people, young people ...

I got the 9am Sunday flight last year - it was a challenge to get up in time to get to the airport!

Uncle T, can you stick me down as a possible please. I will do everything I can to come along. Work may be an issue but I don't know the details yet.

I noticed you stayed there last year. What did you think of the Stafford?

I had a look at it but the tripadvisor reviews were not so kind. As it only worked out about £2 cheaper on BA holidays including the flights I decided against.
