Tesco and Avios
Tesco, the major UK supermarket chain, allows you to convert Tesco Clubcard (CC) points to Avios. The standard earning rate is 1 CC point per Ł1 spent in store. They convert to Avios in the ratio of 1 CC point to 2.4 Avios or 2.5 Virgin miles. Every quarter, your points are converted to coupons and mailed to you - they can then be converted via the CC website to Avios or Virgin miles. Typically, it takes 1-2 working days for a conversion to BA Avios to complete.

The key to rapidly earning large amounts of Avios is the regular bonus point offers where large amounts of points can be earned. The latest are listed below and discussed within this thread.

The last period for collecting Clubcard points finished on 16 October 2014.

The last day for collecting points in the current quarter is 21 January 2015
.

Topcashback (TCB)
A cashback generating site, that provides cashback if you go to a wide range of online retailers via their links. Uniquely amongst such sites, TCB allows up to Ł50 of cashback per year to be withdrawn to your Tesco Clubcard account, which could then be transferred to 12,000 Avios. As of the middle of May, most cashback can also be transferred directly to your Avios account 1p=1 Avios. http://www.topcashback.co.uk/

Anyone else's experiences who made the order ?

Thanks.
I've had this problem periodically, but an email to the Tesco Wine people invariably resolves things promptly.

My points also posted on the order date, without any problem. Email them and I'm sure they'll sort it out for you.

Is Clubcard currently broken or do I need to pop a call into Tesco?

I requested a new card and they set up a new account altogether. Requested a merge yesterday, today on the website I have more points but no cards. On the app I can log in with my existing Clubcard number but I have no points.

Anyone else having any problems?

I've noticed that in the last few days that my points haven't been updating like normal. The App and my receipts say I have 2241 points, but online I have 3890 (just cashed out on topcashback). It's been 3 days and my app/receipts still haven't caught up with my online account.

My cards now all appear in my online account and the points balance is right

App still says I have no points and using the card that was merged into my main account show only the points for that card and not the account.

I guess these things have batch updates or something

I think the fact alone that the whole thing seems to shut down for a week at the end of the statement period with all points just vanishing shows that the system is a tad out of date!

Unless they are doing some sort of audit during that period, I can see no logical reason why the points can't be instantly converted into vouchers once the statement date is reached.

Question is, can she shift up to the Ł50 to the SAME Tesco CC (would be nice as it's a grandfathered account with 800 Avios/Ł2.50 CC points), or will she have to get herself a new CC number just so she can hook it up with TCB?

Thanks
Assuming u live together/share the same postcode then you can simply put your partners clubcard vouchers thro your clubcard account. I put my sisters through mine

Did you have to call them and tell that you want to transfer from one account to the other or did you do it online if so please explain.

When you are redeeming your vouchers you can add in the voucher numbers from other accounts in your household. It's not necessary to merge the accounts.

I'm assuming this only works if both accounts are registered on the same address ? Do you know how many accounts can you create on one address ?? I am sure there is a limit ?
