IME, two working days is typical for this. I've just had my first lot of Avios crediting from my Premium Plus Amex for some time, and that appears still to hold true.

Hi all,
It's been a while since I posted but would love to get back into the swing of things.
I've been looking to apply for a BA AmEx Credit Card for awhile and have decided to take the plunge! I just needed advice on the most effective way to sign up. Should I sign up normally or request a refferal? Apologies in advance if my query has been asked before.. I've trailed through pages and pages and couldnt find anything!
Thanks in advance!

Nice of you to say that.
However, for a couple more days this special offer is still running - http://www.headforpoints.com/2014/07...express-bonus/ - with 9000 Avios on the free card. That beats the 4000 available if referred or the 3000 for a direct application.

@TravellerFrequently: Thank you for your link. Whilst researching the card I came across that page and it was very helpful. Thank you
@Raffles: I wasn't aware of the promotion and as you pointed out it seems like the best thing for me to do. Thank you for the heads up!
It never ceases to amaze me how quick and helpful people are on this forum. Cheers!

Can anyone tell me the current situation with ordering foreign currency on the PP AMEX? Have read lots of conflicting things and when trying to order from the AMEX currency site it warns it will be treated as a cash advance? Is this the case or will it go towards my £3k spend for the bonus avios?
Thanks
Thanks

If you cancel and reapply, you need to leave 6 months in between.

Just found a great way of reaching spending targets on my Amex card.
Whilst sorting our my mothers cupboards I found an old pre-payment card for her council tax and other utility companies - all of which had the PayPoint logo on them.
Went in to the local Co-Op and asked the lady to put various amounts through on all of them. Total was £980. Paid with my Amex and it went through fine.
Will be doing this every month from now on
Fingers crossed for the 2MR points per £1... anyone had experience with Co-Op's paying the double rate?

Nice arrangement, though. I just wish our Government here took Amex payments for Tax, Rates and Company charges..
