Im considering the 1500TP run and the dates put in are perfect for me but i have 3 small questions which i have tried to work into Matrix and came up with a blank.
1) Does it have to be a continuous flight. IE - When you get to JFK, would it not be possible to do 2 nights in NY before the next leg to LAX.
2) Is it possible to fit in a HON-LAS-HON into the same matrix and have a similar price. Or even somehow spend 5-7 days in LAS going in one of the directions ?
3) Finally, i have only ever been Silver and looking solely on BA, the jump to Gold doesnt appear on the face of it to have an amazing amount of different benefits value wise. Im sure First lounges are nicer but I have no issues with Club lounges. Am i missing some huge value that i dont know about to make this worthwhile.

... and the soft landing.
If you would do TP runs to make silver, a gold TP run only needs to be done once every two years.
For instance, you could then do your 20TP flights to Frankfurt once every two weeks (which would otherwise make you a bronze!) in relative comfort for two years rather than one.

I think Cymro means that you would get gold for the rest of the current year and the next membership year, and then drop to silver the year after. It would only be in your silver year when you need to concern yourself with earning enough TPs to requalify as silver or gold.

My TP year flips on 8 July.
So if I completed the TP run on 30 June 2014, I'd be gold for the rest of my TP year when I earned the status, plus the following year to 2015.
From 8 July 2015 to 7 July 2016, I'd be silver because of the BA soft landing even if I didn't fly enough to retain silver status.
I'd then need to earn 600/1500 TPs in that year to requalify as gold/silver and start the process again.

My year end is December 8th 2014
If i earned Gold in April 2014, then i would be Gold to December 8th 2015 at which point, i would only drop back to Silver to December 2016 even if i didnt fly at all in the year December 14 to December 15 ??
Is that right ?

Forgive my idiocy, but I've not used Matrix before and I'm having difficulty with the syntax of the routing codes.
Could anyone provide me with an example of what I need to put in the box for the above route?
I would really appreciate the help,
Many thanks.

No worries
You will earn Avios and TPs from Finnair flights operated by Flybe, i.e. flight number 2XYZ
But not from codeshare flights flights AY8100 - AY8700 *
* Executive Club Members cannot collect Avios or Tier Points on Finnair codeshare flights
that are operated by Flybe Finland (AY8100 - AY8700).

Just to also confirm what Hannibal Lecter said. The excluded AY flights numbers are AY8100 - AY8700, these are the flights operated by Flybe Nordic. Apart from that range, full avios and TPs are obtained from AY flights as usual.

Basically, I would like to know what I need to type (exactly) into the routing box to get these prices. It would also help me understand how it actually works.
Thanks again.
