Even if it says "unlimited stopovers and connections" in the fare rules, if the fare is only filed for a certain routing (it can simply require the non-stop in extreme cases) then that's all you are able to take. In this case, since CPH-HEL-LHR is not included in any of the specified routings, it is not covered by the fare.
If the fare was instead filed as a mileage-based fare, you can allocate the miles across the flight combinations allowable under the fare, and therefore choose things like CPH-HEL-LHR as long as the total mileage comes under the MPM.

Hello all, sorry to bother you with this, and I could probably find this myself.....? 
But maybe one or two of you have done this and have a recommendation for me? I need 40 TP to keep Gold by 8 Sept, is there a way to do a same day return flight from/to LHR that you could recommend? Thanks for your help in advance

The TP calculator is not working for me but looking at doing the following as I have 24 hours to play with in NYC, and wondering if I can confirm the TP value which I calculated from the table..

TP run thread is exactly where it should be actually...
From LHR you can pretty much fly to many many locations in CE for the required 40TPs. Its very very simple to work out which is best for you on BA.com. But dont expect to find anything very cheap with just 8 days notice...

Dublin, Amsterdam are priced ok, out in Club back in Y will get you 50 TP. Avoid flying the Club Europe leg in the afternoon as the Afternoon Tea is rubbish.

TP run thread is exactly where it should be actually...
From LHR you can pretty much fly to many many locations in CE for the required 40TPs. Its very very simple to work out which is best for you on BA.com. But dont expect to find anything very cheap with just 8 days notice...

Reason for late decision is that I had to postpone a trip that would have got me to Gold and rebook it for after 8 Sept, so now a bit in a quandry.
.... anyway yes I know it's somewhat last minute and I have played around on BA - was wondering whether I could do an economy flex to MAN and back first but will now also check out ex UK destinations.

I'm currently looking at going for BAEC Gold now Qantas have significantly devalued their partner earning. The TP calculator is not working for me but looking at doing the following as I have 24 hours to play with in NYC, and wondering if I can confirm the TP value which I calculated from the table..
LGA-BOS - 60
BOS-PHX - 210
PHX-LGB - 60
LGB-PHX - 60
PHX-PHL - 210
PHL-LGA - 60

The rule is, distance < 2000 miles, you get 60 TP if your booking class is F or A for that individual sector.
Distance > 2000 miles, you get 210 TP if the booking class is F or A.
If the city pair distance is very close to 2000 miles you should check on the BA calculator as it uses a slightly different definition to gcmap.
Please note that BA codeshares on AA or US will receive fewer tier points because BA use business not first booking classes for the same cabin.
Also, remember four of your sectors must be on BA metal or have a BA flight number (some other possibilities are allowed) for you to get to silver and gold.

checking the TP you will get semi flex vs fully flex
If the TP calculator quotes 20 for fully flex and I have ticked the "full TP" at the beginning of the search, how can I be sure that this is what I'll get? I don't want to book it and then find out that I only get 10 TP each way.

You can get a HBO Dublin return for under £80 (day trip for tomorrow) and the same thing is available next Saturday as well.
Or you could do Dublin this Saturday (£79.38) and Geneva on Sunday (£87.18).

Look for "Business UK" tickets, in selling class J or (full fare) Y. Make sure you are permitted to make same-day changes on the fare component without a fee. This information is displayed close to the checkout page.
Your ticket will say "Lounge access is included", "Priority security", and so on as a benefit of the ticket.
The cheapest domestic I can see is a day return LHR-LBA-LHR (not sure why???) for £377, widely available. There is one hour twenty minutes for the turn around which is more than sufficient at LBA, although you will have to go back through security—fast track security is always fast.
Forgot about shorthaul+ routes.
