Indeed, very impressive results. Thanks for your efforts Prospero. ^ Some interesting details in there to ponder.

Good effort....
I have been flying to Milan for a good few years, usually in CE and then jumping a train to Verona and Venice... Saving 48k avios for the four of us...

Great effort Prospero.Thanks.

Unfortunately, you've made Verona green when it should be red.

Interestingly, BA award 616 miles when you fly and collect Avios London Gatwick-Verona, suggesting that they think the route is 616 Avios long. Yet, when it comes to redeeming, it is zone 2 and 7,500 for a one way redemption.

Curiously for London Gatwick-Salzburg, they award 775 Avios and a redemption is zone 1 and 4,500 Avios.

Thank you to both Raffles and Prospero.

Btw if any of you ever buy anything at all on Amazon then Raffles has a link that earns a very tiny commission at no cost to you, that may help finance highly welcome efforts like this ^

Erm... that depends on your point of view. It's good that CPH is in band 1 if you're traveling there from London. And it's better that GOT is in band 2 if you're traveling towards somewhere in Zone 7, say, and are short of miles and can get to GOT cheaply.

^ ^ Well done! It makes for very useful reading and shows how sometimes neighbours are separated by an 'invisible border' of Avios division

I can imagine this growing to progressively include similar maps from the different OW hubs (KUL, SYD, DME, AMM, SLC, etc) and becoming a prime booking support tool for Avios redemptions!

Great job! I have found these frustrating Avios issues a few times. There are fewer Avios required for ATL-ORD-LAX than ATL-DFW-LAX because of these bands that you have drawn.

We will soon need the new OW hubs of PHX, CLT, and PHL. DCA will be an active focus city. SEA for AS flights as well.

Lots of fun to be had here I think.

Singapore - start in Frankfurt and use Qatar (787 route) and you pay, one-way outbound in J, 65000 Avios + £190.

Start in London and fly BA and a one-way outbound is 70,000 Avios + £407 ...

In general, 50k return + £292 for the Qatar 787 from FRA to DOH in J is pretty darn attractive - especially when London to Doha is 80,000 Avios!
