I think the Daily Fail should be brought up much less frequently ...

Well I don't mind seats being reclined personally, it's a feature that I pay for too. However I absolutely hate those that recline without checking what I am doing at the time. Was very lucky just recently on my SIN-LHR flight as breakfast had just finished serving and the person infront reclined, fortunately I had my coffee in my hand at the time rather than on my tray (which did end up on my lap).

Of course they shouldn't be banned. But I'd prefer it if airlines voluntarily didn't fit them for short haul.

I think recline is completely pointless on a shorthaul flight and refrain from doing so. Quite happy to snooze in the upright position

No, no, no. No banning of reclining seats.

What really annoys me is PAX who slam their seat into full recline on short haul, and then leave it there when the meal is served!

Unless they defined what "short haul" means (which is unclear from the article) then the results are pretty meaningless - it'll mean different things to different people.

Meh.

"Well I don't approve of $thing, therefore $thing must be banned at once."

Whatever happened to using a bit of common sense?

"common sense " come on that along with lack of consideration for others{not just on planes} causes people more distress than anything else these days

Lack of consideration, absolutely. I'd prefer to be treated as an adult though, and be trusted to have that consideration rather than someone else decide I'm not going to beforehand and take their ball away.

I think the airlines would like this, too and not just from a point of view of the crew having to defuse arguments over it. Non-reclining seats would presumably allow the seat pitch to be reduced a bit further and have an extra row or so crammed in.
