Just applied, hopeful, I also took part in the trials for T5, not long before they opened, the main point that sticks in my mind was that they 'lost' all the bags due to the baggage system being unfamiliar, i remember thinking that it didn't sound good with opening only a few weeks away
A fortnight ago my baggage landed in T5 at 11.00am. I went through Immigration, had a very nice breakfast and shower at the Arrivals Lounge, lovely massage at the Arrivals Spa, read the newspaper for a couple of hours lounging around in the Arrivals Lounge, tootled off and did a few hours' shopping then returned easily at 7pm for the 8pm connecting flight.
My baggage, on the other hand, did nothing during those 9 hours in T5. It didn't make the 8pm connecting flight despite having landed at the same terminal 9 hours earlier. T5 has been open for several years now. If I can get breakfast, shower, spa and to Central London and back and do several hours' shopping and still get back to make the flight, surely my baggage can make that same flight from that same terminal 9 hours after landing there?
Errr... no. So please tell us what's not working right now in T2 so we can all be prepared

For those who are security conscious, I just wanted to let you know that the initial page where you set your password and the page where you reset your password if you have forgotten it are not secure (HTTPS), thus information transferred is not encrypted. Also, the password sent to your email arrives in plain text, which is another very bad security practice.

My application has been approved. However, the only trials available to book at the moment seem to be on Wednesdays, which I cannot do due to work commitments. Does anyone know if any weekend trials are likely to happen?

They've been promised since last year ... I've been told (off the record) that one is due to happen on a Saturday, but that it isn't finalised, so they haven't communicated the date.

a Saturday trial date
Saturday 17th May has just been posted as a trial date and they are looking for volunteers. One of the trial organisers mentioned the biggest trial is 2,000 people and perhaps it is this one.

Hmm, I do not see it on the landing page or in the drop-down menu when trying to book a trial. It would be good if it does materialise though.

Just registered and hoping to assist on the 17th May, possibly with family in tow! Taking children isnt an issue I presume? After all, testing should require children IMHO.

I registered too, but didn't see where you could volunteer for a particular session - did you? I don't mind giving up a Saturday, but I'm not going to take a day of holiday to work for nothing for Heathrow

Mine appeared after a couple of days, then unfortunately work meant I had to cancel (I was supposed to be off that day anyway, but was needed).
