Trip Report : Flyertalk goes on board the new BA Airbus A380
British Airways very kindly extended an invitation to Flyertalk to visit the Heathrow engineering base this morning to take a look at the new A380, which arrived from Airbus Tolouse facility yesterday.
Here are a few shots of the aircraft. Please feel to post any questions and I'll endeavour to answer.
Enjoy.

Looking forward, showing the middle rear-facing seats
Club World cabin (second of 2 CW cabins on this deck) 2 -3 -2

World Traveller cabin (first of 2 WT cabins on this deck) 2 - 4 - 2
Bin storage
World Traveller cabin (second of 2 WT cabins on this deck) 2 - 4 - 2
This is a smaller cabin and feels quite intimate.

Nice pictures.
The 3-4-3 WT cabin fills me with dread.
Also, does anyone know why it is still necessary to have a belting great big IFE box under seats? I'm surprised technology hasn't advanced in this area unless it's all to do with getting these to coexist with the rather more crucial systems that keep the plane in the air.

Great photos but the seat layout is uninspiring I guess they wanted to keep it consistent but it would have been nice to have 1-2-1 in CW.
