The Campaign for decent gin!
So I was reading this and noted that little red has Bombay Sapphire, I also read a TR last month and again saw Bombay Sapphire in Y for both VS and SQ.
So can we ditch the rotten Gordon's down the back and allow us to numb the pain of Y with a decent G&T please! |
Bombay sapphire isn't great either. I would rather have sipsmith, London No 3, Plymouth or Hendricks. Tanqueray wHich has been an intermittent feature on BA shorthaul is also acceptable.

Bombay Sapphire is the gin conceived for people who don't like gin. I'd rather have Gordon's.

It is the only gin that makes me dislike Gin&Tonic. |

But it needs to be the 47% variety to carry the aromatics. the 37% version isn't worth having - and I see its creeping into duty free stock as well. Plymouth would be good though... It could do with the brand exposure. Though is often the house Gin in NYC so must be doing something right. |
Also have to agree on Bombay Sapphire, you might as well mix the tonic with Chanel No. 5

Oh yes, Bombay Sapphire a tragic parody of what gin should be
|
Someone once bought me a shot of Bombay Sapphire, because they didn't know what it was, but it was blue. A disappointment on several counts...

Hendricks please, hits the spot for me and my Scottish friends ;)
|
Plymouth Gin (Navy Strength) for me please.
I visited the distillery once and they explained that every bottle of Plymouth Gin features an image of a monk so that you are never alone when drinking Plymouth Gin! :D |

I personally find Tanqueray(CW) the worst we have, it's too smooth for me.
When one arrives in the Colonies (ACC, NBO), IMHO nowt tastes better than a Gordon's and tonic, slice of lime and loads of ice :) Kind regards BA.MF.CSM |
Sipsmith and Tanqueray10 are the house pours just in case anyone things I'm so cheap as to serve Gordons. ;)
|
No Bombay paint striper for me please, i would rather a Plymouth or a Beefeater 24 any day of the week.

I don't drink enough Gin to be able to distinguish the differences between the well known brands so I'll take whatever I'm given. |
