Inspired by a thread over on the LH forum I thought it'd be interesting to compare what level of op-up ratio we encounter when flying BA and get a little comparison on whether we are more or less beloved by BA than others of the same status level...
BA Gold:
ET-->CE: 0%
WTP-->CW: 50%
CW-->F: 10%
back when I was Silver:
ET-->CE: 0%
WTP-->CW: 90%
CW-->F: 0%
As a Gold card holder - on the seven occasions last year that I was booked in CW and the one occasion in ET, I was upgraded 0% of the time.
In line with the oft repeated advice, I always expect to travel in the class that I have booked.
Edited to add: a quick look at my Flight Diary on ba97.com, shows that I was last upgraded in October 2009, and it did help that I had connections with ground staff at the out station. The flight was overbooked in CW, so I may have been upgraded anyway.

You should come with me on one of my regular trips to SYD in Y.
As blue, 0%. As silver and gold, about the same rate for both (two op-ups in one year for each tier) for a grand total of 4 op-ups, which is probably about 5%.

With all due respect, but a lot of anecdote does not make evidence. This sort of random data is pretty meaningless. It will also lead to incorrect interpretations of the post hoc ergo propter hoc type.
For example, as a Silver I have had quite a few CW-F upgrades, where you report none.
