I was 'opted in' already for BA offers. So I un-checked that box, did a save and exit, and then went back in and re-checked it. Interesting to see if anything happens.

That email itself is marketing and is probably illegal.

Received (almost) the same e-mail today, sans the 2000 avios incentive part.

I also received the same e-mail, without the incentive. How is the incentive calculated?

My account had the 2,000 Avios offered. My sons did not. We are registered as a family account, so perhaps it's one per household.

My guess would be their CRM team is testing how much they need to offer to get customers to opt in. I.e. do people respond if you do free vs 2k vs 4k.

I got the same email, but for 1000 Avios. I have never had any activity on the account I received the email for.

Just checked our accounts, I wasn't opted in I was sure I was!

Mrs P was opted in to BA and partner related mailings, so opted her out!

Little Miss was opted into partner related emails only I opted her out too!

Fingers crossed they finish playing their little marketing games and decide to send a juicy offer out to everyone

I would do the opposite if I were you!

Make sure you are opted out and then hope you get one of these emails in the next day or so!
