I'm waiting for the knock on the door and the men in white coats.

Found a SFO-LAX-MIA-PAP-MIA-LAX-SFO for less than $1100 over memorial day weekend. Not too bad for a TP run. Only concern is I'd be going to Haiti. It's not exactly the safest place on earth, but I figure staying at the airport I'd be fine. Anyone have any experience going here?

Hi all, trying to bump my tier points by at least 120 tier points.
Need to start and end in London
Leave Thursday 23 May (after 7pm) or anytime Friday 24th
Returning Monday 27th or getting into London very early Tuesday 28th (before 8am)

Anyone got any suggestions? Max budget is 400.

Thanks

Hi,

An LGW-Jer then Jer-LGW-AMS rtn and Jer-LGW in CE would do.

Also look at BA holidays for a CE +hotel deal to anywhere that earns 80tps per CE leg ( ie HEL or ATH)

Regards

There's a new thread on this topic, seems to be affecting quite a few people.

AA flights from March 5 still not posted.

Best Tier points from London to Detroit

Hi Guys,

I need to rack up 425 tier points to move up to Silver. I've got to go to Detroit in May from London and wondered if anyone could recommend any smart runs on the way?

Any tips or help greatly appreciated.

Can you do the LCY service, that does 210 each way?

Welcome to FT.

If you're 2/3 short of the TPs required to hit a status, you should probably ask if the status is worth the expense it will cost to obtain it. I.e. do you fly enough to make that status worthwhile?

You can get the equivalent of BA Silver by taking out an Amex Platinum credit card, which costs 450 a year. (Though don't do it just yet as the sign up bonus is terrible this month).

Or CW to the East Coast of the US and then at least 3 sectors in F on AA to get from your arrival airport to Detroit and back.

Pulled the trigger on my July trip to US - 1,602 (including CC fee) for 920 TPs. DUB-LHR/LCY-JFK-LAS/SEA-JFK-LCY/LHR-DUB (AA flights on AA code of course, as learnt here). Now just need to come up with best way to fit in various places between arrival and departure (family in LAX, friends in NYC and SEA etc)

Can you please elaborate on this point a bit more? For example are you equating Priority Pass to lounge access as BA Silver?

You get a CX Gold (Oneworld Sapphire) card in addition to the Priority Pass membership.

Yup. All the benefits of Silver with none of the hassle of chasing it.

Edit: I should add that it's not all the benefits, but it does cover a lot of them.

Apart from the Avios earning bonus one (I know it's obvious to you and I but have seen quite a few folk posting questions about this in blogs and on here)
