Sadder than sad. Mr/Ms Lonely on the BA FT Board

Some years ago, I was stuck in a shocking airport hotel in Canada. I mentioned this in some FT post, and someone (Pucci) jumped on and told us it was one of the saddest places she had ever been stuck.

Of course, in these days of iPads, we are never out of FT contact. (No more needing the Mac G4 to get on the Internet). So I suppose many of us take FT with us. The days of a sly book at dinner may be over, and I refuse to watch TV in an eating establishment.

So, my question. "where is the place you have sat/lay/knelt, on FT, feeling just a little guilty or sad"? Was it a pub, motorway services, bog? (In bed with the other half does not count).

My offering. I am in Abe & Louie's in Copley, Boston. The food is magnificent, wine superb (for American stuff), service impeccable (just like most CW flights). But sadly I am alone, on FT.

Other offers?

I am at work and there almost nothing going on.
I'm also pretty alone too.

Does that count?

But am i allowed to ask, what does this have to do with BA?

Poor squeeler. If I were at home I would come and join you for dinner. But I'm..... ahem....... checking my email in the UK after everyone else has gone to bed.

Well, cs, there is no place like home!

I have now moved to the luxury of Marriott Copley. The price to pay for a quiet drink in the bar is a rerun of some FA Cup final and reruns of NFL. I think there are five different "sports" on TV.

To link to another thread, my BA crew (one of my best ever in any cabin) were here. I knew the crew stay here, but it was not me stalking them. I studiously avoided them, as I feel they need their space as much as I do as a customer.

expectations

I suppose by posting this I was positing "What is the most glamorous place you have been, alone, resorting to posting on FT for entertainment"?

You could always have a chat with some other FTers... on the alternative (working) chat.
