Upgrade to CE for just 13173 Euro???

Hi Folks,

I just booked an Open Jaw flight with BA. I just wanted to check the upgrade prices and got shocked! It Quotes 13173 Euro for an Upgrade for both legs? That is in Range of a Private Jet?

Guess it is an website Error! Would like to upgrade, but that is a bit too much!

Any Idea what to do?

30 more TPs, a bottle of champagne, an empty middle seat, and a salad on each leg.

Bargain.

I wonder what the reaction would be if you were to call in and say you would like to take up the offer?

They should at least waive additional €70 surcharge.

I think they would accept without any question.

It must happen quite often that BA call centre staff take bookings where they think the customer could / might get a better deal if they waited or did something differently. But if the customer is determined, they can't really show that, I suppose.

Most likely this is actually EUR 131.7398 with the decimal point in the wrong place.

I note that EUR 131.73 =approx. USD 175.

So most likely the upgrade fee is USD 175 and this has been converted into EUR by the GDS but MMB is displaying the decimal point in the wrong place!

This is in line with the past BA WT+ offer ex-HEL to East Coast. Then the price was about the same
