Well, since the most Avios I have spent so far were on flying back and forth to this place, I thought I'd post a couple of pics (iPhone)

THANKS BA!
Highlight of all BA travel has to be taking my wife to Cranebank where she proved she was a better pilot than me ....
Nice Carnival (mostly in the rain) ...
Greek Islands .....
Oz and Singapore
Christmas markets in Cologne and Vienna
Visiting an original Roman taverna in Ostia and climbing the stairs in a Roman appartment block ...... (Rome)

Some great photos here guys - Stez- I'm not sure I'd want to be a passenger on a train on those tracks!
One from the windows of the Cabin lounge at HKG (not a bad lounge - business lounge only and only had an hour between flights and that was reduced because BA couldn't print boarding passes for the CX part of the trip - bet I won't have the same problem coming back - when will BA sort out their back office to bring it into the 21st Century?) only spent 20 minutes in there and was small but comfortable enough.

Some selections
Your SLRs make me feel rather incompetent, but here are a few from my summer trips to the southwestern USA, and back. All taken with my iPhone.
Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, CA
San Francisco as seen from Twin Peaks (Gay Pride weekend, with a huge Pink Triangle displayed across the hill)
Helicopter Ride over the Grand Canyon
I live in London, I know, but BA did bring me back to the UK just in time for the Paralympic Swimming to watch my friend...

Glad I managed to pull you out of your moment of gloom pianoamit..... ;-)
Master photography on your iPhone and you'll be a better photographer than 99% of amateur DSLR users !
A few examples can be found here http://connect.dpreview.com/post/286...one-experiment posted by a professional photographer who left his DSLR at home and just took an iPhone with him.
Sure DSLRs and good lenses have their place.... but if you are travelling with non-photographers (e.g. family) or for work.... you can get sufficiently good output out of an iPhone.

I never even stopped to consider the possibility that the iPhone is capable of good photography... Whenever I am outside taking photos, my brain says "I really should be practising..."
