May we have a Christmas 2012 Thread?
… if the Moderators approve, of course. Somewhere for us to make suitable Festive noises to each other, and celebrate the season when families gather together to celebrate. The religious aspect is, of course, understood, but I didn't want to emphasise that in case it was slightly exclusive.
Instead, have a Merry Jérri Christmas, and good luck to those who speak French.

Unlike many on this board we will not be flying off in F quaffing champers! We will be having a very traditional Christmas in the UK, lots of lights on the tree, midnight mass and a massive turkey with all the trimmings followed by watching the Queen's speech... and then perhaps a little snooze.
Merry Christmas to all on FT wherever you are in the world and whatever your faith.

Bless you. I thought I had generated a dead thread!
May I make some seasonal noises to the remarkably large number of FT "Friends" I have here? May your Christmas be full of good company and good cheer. I also extend that to our amazing Moderators, whose occasional smacks on my wrist have been reasonably gentle, and noted!
We are going to have a wonderful Christmas. The middle generation are going to the UK, taking the small ones with them. The other 2 Elders are night-stopping after their stressful 5-mile drive to join us. We shall be quiet, boring, well-fed and bibulous. Oh, let Elder Joy be unconfined
(PS - the solar-powered garden lights on the rosemary bush aren't getting enough light to charge up. Aaaarrrggghhh.)

Well, I did some festive menu planning today, inspired by something I saw on the TV yesterday. A twist on devils on horseback - dates I had to pit myself, stuffed with stilton and wrapped in parma ham.
Absolutely gorgeous, and going a long way to prove you can wrap anything in bacon and make it taste fantastic!

Not meant lightly - have a hug. Seriously.
That's sad, but it's the cycle of life. I'm now hearing about mates who have dropped off the perch, and I'm conscious I'm on that conveyor belt to … whatever. Live every day, enjoy every moment, value friends and accept that things are never perfect (like BA).
