Christmas Quiz: Newcastle Do - December 2012
SPOILER ALERT: Please DO NOT put answers to any question in this thread - or indeed elsewhere. This is just a bit of Christmas fun, so please play along.
By popular demand, here is the BAEC Christmas Quiz for 2012, which was first rolled out last night in The Badger, Ponteland, at the Newcastle Do. And how you too can virtually participate! The questions are below, and the "official" answers will come out next weekend.
Rules:
1) You must participate in a team of 5. Put your name in a simple posting below, Stez and I will allocate you pseudo-randomly into a team. You then have until Friday 21 December 23:59 hrs GMT to submit your answers to both me and Stez as your joint answer for the whole team. In other words you PM the other members of your team and come up with a joint answer via PM. Do not post answers in this thread, do it all by PM.
2) Therefore the sooner you get your name up, the sooner your team will be complete, and the sooner you get working on the answers.
3) If you contributed a question you will have to not participate in "your" question, but you can contribute to your team's answers to all the other questions.
4) If you were present in The Badger then you'll just have to sit this one out.
5) The judges' decisions will be final. Which - incidentally - means we will not be answering any nit-picking sub queries!!! The questions are what they are.
We frown on the use of Google in this quiz. It's OK to use ba.com or FlyerTalk.
The questions are in the next posting.
On behalf of Stez, corporate-wage-slave and of course MamaStez!

Tie Breaker: FT’s BA Forum has 2 Ambassadors based in NCL. Both of them are somewhere in the middle of their membership years. What will their joint Tier Point mountain be on Saturday 23 December 2012?
(Note: we have changed one question from the Newcastle Do, just in case it infringes FT's privacy rules, and replaced it with a tie breaker instead. The answer to question 30 is currently unknowable even to the 2 Ambassadors! Also we have changed a few of the easier Quick Fire questions just to get you to practise skills other than those involving Uncle Google.)
You have until Friday 21 December 23:59 hrs GMT to submit your answers to both me and Stez as your joint answer for the whole team. In other words you PM the other members of your team and come up with a joint answer via PM. Do not post answers in this thread, do it all by PM. There's no advantage in PM'ing your answers early, so you have plenty of time to sort out your answers in collaboration with your team mates.

From Stez and corporate-wage-slave:
The early birds get the worms - so we have allocated the following people into the top card holding teams.
So who wants to be in the GGL team? The allocation will still be random (based on an Excel random number formula).
The earlier you submit your interest, the less likely you will be relegated to a Blue team. The omen is not good for the Blue team, given what happened at the NCL Do! Should the numbers not be enough for a gold, silver, bronze, then, we skip the bronze, silver, etc, and keep the blue team.
ASBOs have been handed out for those who were/are involved in the questions. We trust you to follow your ASBOs.
