Nothing to write home about really and only good if you have some points trapped in old hotel based accounts which you'll never use / will expire.

Check out more tips / news on collecting miles on my blog
so you see no value in convering 20,000 SPG miles with the bonus they given you and the one BA gives you. seems to net a 50% bonus...and you can even use the SPG account to buy and then convert to top you up cheaper than you can buy via SPG?
So, I've been saving an orphaned 12k SPG points for such a promo, is 25% considered a good deal or should I be patient and wait for a better deal (50%)?
(I have many Avios and no plan to spend most of them over the upcoming year so can be patient)

I got this email. I've got 100k Hhonors points that could go over, but I figure they're worth more to me as a free night in a top Hilton than as 12.5k haribos.

wouldn't the 25% bonus from BA be on top of the 20k+5k bonus from SPG?
in other words, when you convert 20k SPG points to Avios, Starwood gives you 25k. then, if BAEC gives you 25% bonus, wouldn't that be 25% of 25k, i.e. 6250 avios for a total of 31,250?
with the 20% discount that SPG is offering right now, 20k SPG points will cost you $560. if that converts to 31,250 avios, that's about $0.018 cents per avios.
edit: i see that this question was answered in the post previous to mine. it took me too long to write my post.

Does the 25% Bonus apply to Marriott Travel Packages?
I have looked at ba.com and it seems to be silent on this point.
If I redeem a Marriott Travel Package (which gives a 7 night stay + a slug of Avios), does anyone know whether these Aviois points also attract the 25% bonus?

25% bonus when converting hotel points into Avios
Oh rowlocks! I've just sent 250k club Carlson points over that I didn't need due to emigrating. Wonder if it is the transaction date or post date that will trigger the 25%
