Something looks awry with the timetable for next season.

Currently, there is 1 daily AA flight and 3 BA daily flights to BOS:

BA1502 LHR BOS 09:55 12:50 AA
BA0213 LHR BOS 11:20 13:50 BA
BA0215 LHR BOS 16:30 18:50 BA
BA0239 LHR BOS 19:15 21:40 BA

For summer 2013, ba.com is listing 3 daily AA flights and 4 daily BA flights to BOS. That would be a remarkable capacity increase.

BA0213 LHR BOS 11:20 13:20 BA
BA1502 LHR BOS 12:25 15:10 AA
BA1524 LHR BOS 15:00 17:50 AA
BA0203 LHR BOS Various times BA
BA0215 LHR BOS 18:00 20:05 BA
BA1522 LHR BOS 18:05 20:50 AA
BA0239 LHR BOS 19:30 21:40 BA

I suspect there are changes to schedules and metal that haven't all been put through yet.

The lounge dragon told me that this was BA's best yeild route, better than NY. (and that they will be getting a new lounge soon)

and they were turning pax away on my last flight there, so no surprise to see some increase!

What's the betting that aircraft will be pulled from the first daily IAD rotation (217/216) - leaving us on a 777 again?

or by the summer, it could be from a 380 or 787 route.

or if the 787 gets put on B'more that could be a nice option for you!

Stop whingeing man. There are some routes that would give their right arm for a 777 (LHR-CAI for one), rather than the A321 we're about to have foisted upon us.

Harsh, Phil

Anyway, all the 787/380 threads I've read here suggest that IAD will not be likely to feature in BA's planning for modern people-haulers. I suspect the Old Lady will see us out on this route!

BMI lhr - man slots?

I guess a route that can fill 747's (and from my experience usually full from back to front!) is going to take priority over pretty much any other slot!!

The lounge in BOS isn't in the basement. It just doesn't have any windows.
