Vanity Frequent Flyer Number

I put up a post on the Etihad forum about a competition to win a vanity FF number in a miles auction (600600600600 or 101010101010). Just wondering whether anyone believe this has a value and would go for this if BA did the same type of auction?
Of course people like vanity number plates and telephone numbers, but a FF number???

Or given a FF tag spends half its time upside down, how about 5318008

(sorry, it's been a tough day...)

I'm quite proud of my low(ish) BAEC number...

133XXXXX

So, who has the lowest I wonder?

Let's have a P'ing contest!

I'd pay for 11111111

Surely 71077345 would be better, except the 4 is the wrong shape on the pc. Or you could have 7100553.

Is it done in a sequential order? I joined many years ago (12?) and my number starts with 98XXXXXX...can't get much higher than that....do I win a prize?!

not so sure it works that way ie. lower = older. Had my account maybe 7 or 8 years longer than other members of family - mine 283xxxxxx, theirs 139xxxxxx

Aaah, well I guess that's no fun then

I assumed it was sequential as mine and Mrs P's are within 20 or so of each other.

Little Miss is in the 6's

Just found my enrolment email - 30th March 2006 (which makes 0 sense as my membership ends 8th June!)

I prefer to keep the miles for myself to use them for traveling than waste them just to get a silly FFP number.

I would guess they are issued on a sequential basis within a specifc batch, just that the batches aren't necessarily sequential to each other...

Nope! Mine's in the 1100xxxx (which I quite like!) but my wife's is 5879xxxx and she joined about a year after me (i.e. ~15 and 14 years ago), then my mum is 1428xxxx and she only joined a couple of years back.... perhaps recycled?
