I believe that the trail runs will be to Madrid, but is there any chance that there will also be domestic flights get publicity for the A380 - and maybe fill some seats at the weekend? If so Manchester could definitely take them, Aberdeen and Belfast I assume not, what about Glasgow, Edinburgh and Newcastle?
I suspect it's just a little too much aeroplane, there's no gates at T3 at MAN that could take an A380 so it would mean bussing everyone which would hack off the regulars no end.

It would take longer to load a 380 than to actually fly to MAN. Don't do it BA!
On the other hand, I will happily pay to be on the first run to MAD
AF (or AirChance as I'm now learning I should call it) used the A380s on the CDG - LHR route for a while, not because they needed the capacity, but to enable pilots to get enough "real" (ie not simulated) practice in take-off and landing. I could imagine something similar with BA, but clearly the airports used need to be capable of handling the plane!

I just hope they fly to LCY on that A388... I wonder what would actually happen.

And they were selling return tickets for £80, which was a bargain especially over the bank holiday weekend.

BHD's runway involves a fairly brisk stop in an A320 never mind an A380 even if possible. You can spot the regulars who brace themselves and hold on to newspapers, books etc!
