I don't know, but there is no reason to go to the BA/QF lounge in HKG anyway. Head straight to CX lounges and save yourself the pain

Qantas has not announced they are leaving OneWorld. The Qantas and Emirates code-share 'alliance' won't change the lounge access at Hong Kong.

Yes: "Customers flying First or Business Class have access to the equivalent class of lounge regardless of their frequent flyer status."

I've never understood the point of the QF/BA lounge in HK. Who in their right mind would sit in that mediocre place when there are various good/excellent CX lounges within walking distance?

Indeed, that is why no foreign carrier is going to spend inordiante sums of money on an outstation lounge to compete. The QF/BA lounge is perfectly fine if yuo have to use it....but you dont have to use it

Agreed. And the EK lounge in HKG is nothing to write home about. Constantly packed. I've been flying CX recently and have been using The Pier a lot. Very nice lounge - but not a patch on the CCR.

I would only use the EK lounge in HKG as a last resort...and while I wont admit this over on the EK board, I'm happy to do so here Also, while I have come to accept the bling onboard, I simply find the decor of the EK lounges (when compared to CX/BA/QF) simply ghastly...

This may be sacrilege, but I preferred the BA/QF F lounge to the Pier F lounge. If I'd wanted a meal, then the CX lounge would have been preferable, but I don't like the seating layout in the CX lounge.

Me too. Pending the re-opening of the Wing First lounge, the Qantas/BA lounge is the best lounge in HKG. CX Pier First is a bit claustophobic and dingy for my tastes. I have had a sneak preview of the new Wing First, due to open "around the Chinese New Year", and it will be fab. As for the EK lounge, words fail me.

Slightly related question - I'm flying Dragonair J to Hanoi in a couple of weeks time, what's the lounge like in HKG?

The Dragon Air lounge isn't anything to write home about, far better to use any of the other lounges you have access to.
