hotels near T5

Need to find a hotel for next Monday night. Arriving into T1 but will be leaving early next morning from T5 so reckon a hotel near there would be useful - any recommendations? Any hotels within walking distance

Another question, can I go via the train transist from T1 to T5 and then get to hotel if I chose one at T5?

The obvious solution is the Sofitel which is attached to T5. It forms part of the short-stay car park and is a short walk to the terminal building itself - all under cover.

Yes you can use the Heathrow Express for free to get from T1 to T5.

The Sofitel is within walking distance of T5. There is a premier inn near by, budgets and all that.

The Sofitel (5 star) is connected to T5 by a walkway. Expensive mid-week, but very convenient, and a very nice hotel too.

Yes, you can take the free Heathrow Express between Heathrow Central and T5.

Ola...

Yes, you can use the Heathrow Express free of charge between Central Terminals for T1, to T5, in Express (economy) Class only.

The only hotel which is actually at T5 is the Sofitel, which can be rather shocking in price. There are some which are close by, like the Hilton T5 however I don't believe you can walk to the terminal.

I am no expert on the subject, I am sure someone will be coming along to better inform.

Hope you have a good trip.

The Sofitel is a separate building to the car park - it's just the first part of the walkway that is part of the car park

Just a point... If you are aware of any websites which offer un-names hotels for a bargain price, and can find a 5 star hotel at Heathrow for a great price, then this will be the Sofitel, as I believe it is the only 5 star hotel at Heathrow.

I stayed at the Hilton London Heathrow Terminal T5 a few months ago and it was a wonderful stay. It's a new hotel with a few good restaurants. Note: the name is deceiving as it is a bus ride away from the T5 terminal.

If you're okay with a short ride, I'd recommend the Hilton's cost savings over the Sofitel.

You can book any of the hotels on Bath Road, and get a free bus to T5. Takes about 10 minutes.

Marriott, Renaissance, Radisson Edwardian, Holiday Inn, Sheraton Skyline, etc.

The on-airport Hilton attached to T4 has a free shuttle to T5; it might (probably will) be cheaper than the Sofitel.

I'd recommend the Hilton T5, but prices vary greatly depending on the day of the week. It will most likely be cheaper than the T4 property although you have to pay for a bus to T5 (complimentary at the T4 Hilton).

Great property, nice and new. There is plenty of information in the Hilton forum.

You could try the Jurys Inn down by Hatton Cross. Couple of minutes walk from Hatton Cross Station where you can either jump on a free bus to T5 or catch the underground.

I stayed at the Premier Inn T5 recently. Showing as £68 (room only) for Monday 10th and just 2 stops from T5on the bus (423 iirc and at bus stop 7 at T5). Nice hotel and only opened approximately about 8 months ago, nice restaurant, spotlessly clean and good service.

I'd def stay there again but so many options as other have said.

Since you are a Hilton member (Gold?), I would highly recommend the Hilton T4 and it's free shuttle service every 30 minutes to T5 which takes around 10 minutes.

I am Gold and have never failed to get upgraded to an executive room when booking a standard room. I have stayed there about 10 times over the past year or so.
You also get lounge access and can enjoy full breakfast in the restaurant, even though our benefit is officially for a continental breakfast in the lounge.
