5 Dec-Manchester airport closed

Apparently someone didn't read the weather forecast and didn't de-ice the runway. Sat on BA1370 after diverting to Liverpool with an indefinite delay.

Stansted is closed too. As are some schools in Essex.

Ah, the usual freak weather that we never get at this time of year so no need to ever prepare for it.
Better be fine next week as I've got a drive to that there London and some flights.

I've just driven to work past Manchester airport and there are no weather problems at all. Roads and paths are fine, just a little bit of frost on the cars.

When we landed at Liverpool, half the pax jumped up and started unpacking overhead bins, putting on coats, etc. Bless

Strictly water and orange juice on the BA1370 at LPL but the plane is refuelled for the short hop over to Manchester so hopefully on our way soon.

If only BA could fly to LPL regularly! It is good to see something different than the Orange lot or the Irish Conman flying in and out of LPL.

I'll give you a wave as you pass overhead Glad I'm not travelling today.

Winter weather in MAN? Rubbish. There is a collective union agreement with the airport TUs that prevents that from happening. You must be mistaken, it is clearly 30 degrees C and sunshine

Trust LPL to get it right......and to have better weather, just about all the time
