London to Cape Town in (old) First, sat in 1K. Despite the age of the cabin it was clean and serviceable, the service from the cabin crew excellent and the food and drink very pleasant. Still a great way to travel.
(For the avoidance of doubt, the takeoff scene was filmed in a simulator).

Pity you had old F, but I would like to know how that beef tasted. On my last flight to CPT (in Ocotber) the beef was overcooked, tough and tastless and was sent back in exchange for a rather nice curry from the CW menu.

Funnily enough, this beef was exactly the opposite. Very tender and pink in the middle. The cabin was only half full, however.

A few questions:
Any queues in Fast Track?
What was the service like in the CCR?
How was priority boarding?
- No queues in Fast Track, I was through in under 5 minutes
- Service in the CCR was great, very attentive waitress served efficiently and kept our glasses topped up
- I think there were about 5 people in front of me in the premium lane, and I *think* we boarded through 1 jetbridge into 1L but I am not sure (after effects of lunch playing havoc with my memory you see...)
So nothing really to complain about.

The lounge in CPT is complete pants, poor layout, limited choice of food, stale sandwiches, barely drinkable wine, and only 1-bottle of water out at anyone time. At least they fixed the showers after about 6-months.
A great video of our favorite destination. We will be flying first
to CPT in January, can't wait to enjoy the concord lounge, together
with the food and wine

Went through last week. The CPT terraces is indeed poor, especially so given the newness of the Terminal. It is shared with Emirates too, which explains why I could barely find a seat when turning up nearly 3 hours prior to the early BA flight. The indignity , travelling BA F and sharing a couch with an EK Y passenger
But then the Dubai flight was called and everything emptied out somewhat.
I do give a to having two showers though.
The wi-fi was a faff, wine / sparkling was v poor, especially so since we'd been getting very decent stuff around the R100 (GBP 7) mark most of the trip!
Of course, the food and wine onboard was all the better following this.
I do love these V-TRs, as they give a much better impression of the experience than words of pictures can do and I'm very grateful to you for making this one.
But I always wonder, aren't you slightly self-conscious of what other passengers might thinking? "What's this clown doing filming everything?" or words to that effect?

Not at all. For a start, life is too short to worry about whether other people think you're a clown or not, and secondly, enough refreshment in the CCR before boarding means you have fewer inhibitions anyway!
