Do you travel too often?

I had to have a wee giggle at December's High Life which has a feature about whether you travel too much:

"You know your passport number, expiry date and Executive Club details by heart"

I know year by heart and I am an infrequent traveller!

Anyone else seen the article?

I'm the same, can remember all of that (along with my full Amex card details). I put it down to being an accountant therefore (allegedly) being good with numbers

But only you can interpret them. That's what makes you clever!

Sadly I can remember my BAEC number, numerous assorted passwords [which may contain letters, numbers and symbols] but I still can't remember what I'm supposed to be doing tomorrow. Still, Thursday is another day. And 8 May 2013 is a long way off.

No, but there is an FT thread devoted to this topic: Signs you travel too much. [Merged threads]

Indeed it is.

But 10 May 2013 is even further away. 12 May 2013 mindbogglingly so.

You know you travell too often when you know the lounge dragon names and greet you warmly with recognition even before they see your boarding pass.

I have a colleague where the lounge agent keeps her updated on her husband's flights and her husband about her flights. They have a rule about not flying together unless their they are travelling with their children at the same time.

You know you travel too often when the cabin crew tell you that you travel more than they do

We don't [on current plans] fly until 22 May

Something to do with UuA availability, IIRC.

We do, however, need to find 80 TPs by then - and don't say "Seoul"

We're not quite that desperate!!

Possibly.

It's a simple question of where BA allows you to go from JER without requiring either an LGW>LHR shuffle, or an overnight at £££Sofitel£££.ripoff

Months ago I suggested a romantic night for two in Crawley. You declined, I think you blamed it on the cat (?)

Perhaps if you took the cat to Crawley for the night you & the cat could get your TPs, and the following weekend Mrs T8191 your iWife can have her romantic weekend away?

Stop tempting me!!

Although we are going to have to do something. There's no way we're going to go brown, unless its on a warm beach. It will have to be something in UK - haven't seen the old country for a while, except in transit [happily].

Warm beach? Old country?

You must be thinking of MAN, with LBA as a close second

Hohohoho ... Former Surrey person. The fact that my son went native (married a Yorkie princess) and now lives oop a lane that floods doesn't inspire me! Although LBA as a grand parental option remains an option - or that one Further Ooop the endless A-1 ... Middleton St George. Or whatever it's called nowadays.

Anyway, where were we? Oh, that. Yes. Not often enough. We like travel, but without irritations and aggravation. That includes language and currency issues.

Currency is one thing but if you're concerned about language issues that pretty much rules out MAN and LBA ...
