Club Europe Holiday - Earn HH Points
Hi All
Not sure if anyone can advise. If I book a Club Europe holiday with BA, and part of the holiday is staying at Hilton. Can I earn/get upgrade with my HH account?
Programs: BAEC Silver,clubcard,clubcard plus, BA Amex................ And Mucci x3 ;)

Not sure about HH but the last time I did this with a club Carlson property in JER I did earn points in the hotel program.

Flight plus Hilton hotel booking on BA website. Would the Hilton stay be qualifying for HH? (And subsequently earn 500 Avios?)
You should earn points for spend in the hotel. IN GENERAL (not saying this is Hilton policy) you won't earn on the hotel room. More importantly, depending on your status, your status benefits may also not be valid.
It depends how BA Holidays process the booking, though. If they source the room from a wholesaler like Octopus or Expedia, you get nothing. If they book it direct in the same way that your corporate travel agent would book it, you'd be fine.

Not sure about CE hols but when I booked a London flight plus hilton hotel break last year, I didn't earn any points (on room or other spend in restaurant). They did however respect my Gold status - we got an upgraded room & breakfast.

Just completed a BA Club Holiday to Dubrovnik, and as the stay is classed as an 'ineligible' stay, any additional spend in the hotel (eg food/ spa etc) is not eligible for HH points.
It's clear in the terms - as I unfortunately found out.
I have had luck before where points have posted, but very rarely.
Here is the section where they talk about ineligible points:
HHonors Points may not be earned (including as a My Way benefit) for or during ineligible stays, including without limitation, folio charges incurred during ineligible stays. If at least one night of the Member's stay is consumed with the use of HHonors Rewards Points, the entire stay is considered a "Reward Stay" and no HHonors Points may be earned, except that if Member is using Room Upgrade Rewards, any money spent on the original reservation will earn points and/or miles consistent with these Terms. Participating hotel will determine whether incidental charges incurred during either or those stays are eligible for points, except that Points will not be earned for incidental charges at Hampton Inn®, Hampton Inn & Suites®, Homewood Suites by Hilton®, and Home2 Suites by Hilton®.

This bit is the stupid bit. How can each hotel arbitrarily decide whether you get points for in-hotel spend?
You'd think, on a reward, they would want you to spend in the hotel to get some extra revenue from you.
And the idea that booking (say) 1 night as an award followed by a cash night makes the whole stay inelligible is also stupid.
That said, I did a one-night award / 3 nights cash at the Waldorf-Astoria Syon Park and got points for the other rooms and incidental spend (and indeed have got points for incidental spend on 'all reward' stays there.)

The responses here puzzle me. Previously I have got HH points and airline miles (was BMI then so don't know if its the same) on flights booked as part of an inclusive holiday. I used to phone the hotel to give them my HH number,
Am flying to Newcastle today and staying at the Hilton.. Hotel booked via BA.COM though after my flight. I have called ahead and given the hotel my HH number..
Am hoping/expecting to get the 500 HH points PLUS 2000 bonus for being Silver.. will be very miffed if I don't as the cost was the same as booking directly with Hilton its just BA had more room types available.

Sometimes you get the points, sometimes you don't but the fact remains HiltonHonors changed the rules several years back to make 3rd party booking sites ineligible for earning of points. Lots of threads about this in the Hilton forum. One benefit has been that a few people have reported that they have received a check from Hilton for the best rate guarantee as the ba site at times is cheaper.
