JFK Concorde room - Nicolas Feuillatte champagne, really?

All has been said in the title. Sitting in the Concorde room at JFK and the only proposed champagne is Nicolas Feuillatte!
That's the brand that Easyjet is selling on board their planes.

It's not exactly the best stuff in the world - had it there last week.
Not exactly the biggest issue either. At least you'll get Grand Siècle on board.

I do hope this is not a permanent 'enhancement'. I've not been through JFK T7 for a few months, back there in 4 weeks, not a fan of the Nicolas Feuillatte.

In fact my concern is that arrived straight from the office to JFK and I did not have a chance to have lunch today. I thought it wouldn't be a problem, however I arrived at 3.15pm at T7 and have been told that Concorde room does not open before 4pm (and so does first and business security lanes!) and once in Concorde room that they don't serve food before 4.30pm.

Sorry but I think it's a bit borderline...

Majestic wines are selling the NV stuff at £15.00 a pop......

First class. Really????

I would expect in the Concorde room that a decent branded vintage would be on offer.

Remind me. How much is a FIRST ticket from NYC to LHR?

Are you sure it wasn't the vintage stuff - it's pretty good (just as NF NV is pretty good for its price category, but certainly not for CCR).

Which bottle is it? The bog standard or one of the premium offerings?

Best not to expect. On my only visit the offering was Piper Heidsieck. Funnily enough, that was also one of only two occasions when I paid for an F ticket.

You can fill nearly two bathtubs with Nicolas Feuillatte NV for that. Probably more fun.

Piper Heidsieck and Nicholas Feuillatte are both pretty cheap (price and quality) in the champagne spectrum and surprising that CW and GC in the UK serves in my opinion the superior Taittinger (and I think the same in JFK club?)..... yet CCR JFK has this?

I realise that BA is never going to be serving Krug and DP but there are plenty of great mid-market champagnes such as Gosset, Perrier Jouet and Ruinart out there...Cathay serves Billecart Salmon in business which is excellent.
