Advice for internal US flights...

Booked BA flights MAN - LHR - CDG , then OS ORY - JFK, then JFK - LHR - MAN all J class...whilst in US we would like to travel to LAS for a few days....so ive checked out AA.com found flights about £670ish direct return for two adults in Y...theres no business class only first which comes out about £2400ish if use instant upgrade.

Tried talking Mrs C into a TP run JFK - MIA - SJU - LAS etc but she's not a great flyer so thats a no go....

Left with direct flights....ive called BA back to see if they can offer a discount on AA.com prices.....they cant as i expected. So im left with looking at Delta or Jetblue.....AA i find is always more expensive.

Delta is looking like cheapest but as ive not flown inter US for around 3 years not sure if its worth sticking to AA? Tried ITA matrix thats how i came about DL as cheapest and best times....they are 0815 3/4/2013 JFK - LAS r/t 0700 8/4/2013 LAS - JFK....works out at £422 plus bags for us both r/t which i think is pretty cheap?

Any ideas or is it going to be painful in Y?

I think your last sentence says it all.

I have flown all the mentioned airlines in the US and can find little to differentiate any of them. I have a colleague who flies from BOS to the West Coast on a regular basis, and has to fly in economy. He thinks the world of Jet Blue. There are some small legroom enhancements you can book with them (£).

Virgin America seem to be highly thought of too. Not sure if they fly your route though.

have you tried southwest? they have a large Vegas hub and may be competitive. and I always think there service is very good.

As for service in Y they are all very much the same.

As a BA Bronze, you do get to stand-by for AA flights at no cost, so that may help

Rather than boooking ORY-JFK, couldn't you book ORY-JFK-LAS outright either under the OS or AA code?

I was looking at Jetblue as they have AVOD or certainly some free AVOD....its not the end of the world i cant grumble obviously flying CW to/from US just wondered if some really were terrible? End of the day for two r/t flights for 5 1/2hr journeys for £422 is a steal i think.....you can pay more than that on FR to spain!

Thanks for that ive made the booking it was an afterthought to "do" vegas so do i ring BA back and ask to tag on the LAS flights? I did call yesterday to enquire whether i could UuA from Y to J....no was the answer only flight class they fly on AA on that route is F. Im never confident BA really know the answer (it took me 3 calls to alter the LHR - ORY - JFK into a 3 day stopover which the first two calls were oooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwww aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh no....just goes to show.....)

All four flights on the dates you mentioned show as operating with an EC cabin when booking dummy flights on delta.com. The seats are regular Y cabin seats with up to 4" more legroom.
