Thumbs up Fast Track at GLA

Haven't seen it posted myself but just went through GLA security and there is now a divided off priority section (blackened walled corridor just to the left of the existing security entrance) and finally BA Gold and Silver are eligible to use. No queue tonight whatsoever and through in less than a minute.

On another note it seems that it's G-BNWR operating BA1497 tonight which means I should be in a J seat down to LHR as my boarding pass says 2A.
.. And the lounge also seems to have gained Grey Goose and Grey Goose Citron.

Hope they bring this in at Newcastle too. Slow track security there is a joke these days ... makes going through Heathrow seem supersonic in comparison.

Sounds positive. Is the former BMI lounge in use now or is it the pokey one at the end ?

still "pokey" one at end. No sign of new one opening or potential new gate arrangements

This is the sort of thing that I think should could be sent in a targetted email to those who regularly use BA services ex GLA to advise them of it. Not sure how well it is signed ?
Does it apply to status pax only or for eligible class of travel too as elsewhere ?

I used the the "pay for fast track" at EDI the other morning. It was worth £5 at the time (given the other queue).

I don't understand why BA simply don't add this onto the Business UK tickets. At £230+ for one way, it's not going to make much difference.

It was very well signed. Nearly all the major airlines were up on signs fixed to the wall near the entrance. I will check when I get back what it fully says but it did day Silver and Gold. Not sure about those in Business UK. I will take some photos too when I get back Sunday.

As I used my iPhone to check in I don't know if the Check In staff are informing passengers of it.

Ah not so good but definitely a plus on the beverages. I am flying out of GLA in January so hopefully it will be open by then.

Fast track at GLA

At ABZ last week when I went to security, I was told that as a GCH I could now. use the priority queue although my colleague with silver wasn't told the same.

There was also fast track boarding queue for the 0630 LHR flight BA1301. However almost everyone was in this queue and so it made it much quicker to join the 5 person normal queue and breeze on !
