Reward availability checker - Hidden feature
Whilst chatting to one of the Avios Ambassadors at the birthday party yesterday I found out about an interesting new feature which has been added recently to that awful interactive map availability checker which I believe most folks here gave up on because it was so buggy.
If you go onto the map, click on "list", click on your destination, click "Find out more", then click on "Availability" it shows you a nice bar chart with how many dates in each month are available which i think is quite cool.
I was also assured that there has been a lot of effort put into the map recently and many of the bugs have been fixed.
Why not give it another go and see if it works better for you now?
The map is available on Avios.com as well as BA.com
Hmmmm I'm sure that feature has been there a while (at least on BAEC) and people were complaining that it was inaccurate. The map generally does feel less buggy though.

Return is giving scribble for Feb … saying "No dates available this month
for 2 adults, 0 children, 0 infants on Economy cabin". I don't want bludgy Economy, I want Club!! And, yes, I clicked return and "Business" is showing - albeit greyed out. Availability is better in WT+, but I'm not sitting there for a 10 hour sector!
Slightly academic exercise anyway, as there isn't [yet] a decent sale for the hotel we want!
Well I wish I had known about this feature before I spent hours faffing around trying to ascertain availability to different destinations on different dates.

Now if only I had known about this before, would have saved many, many hours of manual searches. One concerning thing is the very sparse reward availability!
