Can anyone help? Booked a multi city multi segment ticket next Mar as follows and have several lounge/seat questions (Sorry!). I booked the entire journey via BAEC as it was multi city UuA. My questions are in BOLD
1. MAN - LHR. Booking class is shown as Y.
2. LHR - CDG same day, booking class is shown as B.
Can we use the Galleries Lounge at MAN as we intend to travel on using under CE tickets (I assume the lounge access at T5 Galleries prior to CDG is a given but suspect we cant at MAN being lowly Bronze members??)
3. ORL - JFK using Openskies 3 days later. Thought we would give it a try as were in paris for our anniversary and didnt fancy AA direct. We have seats in Biz Bed, booking class is shown as T.
How do i pre select seats on Openskies....BA after two calls and 25 mins on the phone said it was not possible until 24hrs prior to departure even though were both Bronze BAEC members. Any ideas??? Also openskies use the Iberia VIP lounge at ORL is it any good???
4. Unbooked flights. Heres where my questions should be put on the TP run thread....we fancy flying from NYC to somewhere trying to maximise TP without just flying for a holiday....any suggestions? Ive seen the MIA - SJU - LAS type run is good but any other suggestions starting / finishing in NYC as cheap as possible on Business Class?
5. JFK - LHR in CW, selling class is T again.
At present on MMB i was going to book 64 J/K...however as im only bronze booo BA state its not available to view/purchase as its reserved for Gold/Silver plus full fare paying passengers so i cant select any UD seats? Is this right???
6. Finally phew......MAN - LHR leg, selling class is Y again.
I assume we can use the arrivals lounge at T5 as we are inbound on CW flight. Can we/how do we get to use T5 Galleries lounge before our flight to MAN?
I will try and compile lounge pics and a trip report especially obviously the Openskies biz class experience for reference.
If anyone does fancy something similar please make contact it was a nitemare on the phone to BA and took me several calls back when they said ohh ill ring you back and never did good job its a freephone number on the bronze line. Plus as its seperate flight segments we get 240TP just for the above as opposed to 180TP for LHR - JFK r/t
Thanks FT'ers i never would have even dreamt/knew how to do do this without being on here so big thanks

Only one I can help with is Q5.
Bad luck if you're Bronze, and with a T ticket [WT+] the UuA isn't going to do it for you. I think those seats aren't for sale anyway, although I stand ready to be corrected. I think the prime ones are held back.
You either pay to select seats [if permitted], or become Silver before the trip - is there any chance of that? Do you fancy Seoul?

I wish id love to....thanks T8191.....was only 180TP away from Silver this time last week but my membership year ended this week so im reset to to zero.....never had chance with work etc to jump on a TP run plus stupidly the OH told me (advised) that why bother getting silver when we always fly Club we dont need lounge access....it seeemed a fair point in Aug on our way back from LIS in CE 5 bottles of champers in....now of course i could literally slap myself for daring to listen to the logic?!!!!!
I understand totally about paying for seat selection...let this be a lesson to anyone now if i want seats its £65 each for each flight so i could have made that up with a TP run to AMS - JER on me own for the day!!! God knows how i got the flights for the price i did it was a total guessing game by BA which was actually cheaper than booking via BA.com (which i couldnt anyway!)

Sadly, Wiggi, you are an example to any lurkers who don't explore all the details in the excellent Sticky. You knew you should, and you didn't. Silly Wiggi.
Sorry for you, though - it makes a huge difference, as you realise. TP runs to Seoul might be a bit OTT, but the essential little one [JER, AMS, whatever] can make a huge difference to the quality of life and the fatness of your wallet.

As your MAN-LHR and LHR-MAN is booked into Y, this qualifies as a Business UK ticket, therefore you will get lounge access in MAN on your outbound, and at LHR on your return to MAN.
You could try for access before you LHR-CDG as you are arriving inbound on a "business" ticket, however I would expect you will be refused. You are on a B fare code on LHR-CDG which is a ET fare code.

JFK-SEA-JFK is the classic TP run from NYC.... sometimes you get discounted First Special on AA, sometimes Instant Upgrade. Either way it's 2x 210TPs i.e. 420TPs. Due to the timings you'll need to stay the night at SEA.

Thanks Ross....thats good to know about the MAN lounge access....the B class ticket is an UuA to Club Europe and confirmed on MMB so wont that give me lounge access to T5 Galleries?

Sorry, didn't read that. Yes, as you have done a UUA to CE, you will get access to T5 Galleries.

On landing from MAN you will arrive at the domestic area (either by jetbridge, or god forbid by bus). Follow the signs for Flight Connections and you will go straight into the normal terminal area, no customs or security etc.
On your return (JFK-LHR?), you will have to pass through immigration and security to get into the main departures area.
